This is a good walk on the eastern side of Coniston Water at the bottom end.  The walk starts in High Nibthwaite, but it may be necessary to park up the road by the lake.  It is steep but includes a stream for cooling off and magnificent views from the top.  It can be extended by walking further north before dropping down or returning a similar way.  I have uploaded my tracklog here: http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=22411 .
