Elterwater from Skelwith Bridge

It doesn't get any flatter than this! It is now a wheelchair-friendly walk and will suit any dog. If you park at Skelwith Bridge, you can use the cafe (Chesters) at Skelwith Bridge and visit the shop at the start or end of the walk and go to the Britannia Inn in Elterwater for a drink or a meal. There are plenty of places for a dip in the river. When I went with my flat-coated retriever, he couldn't keep out of the river!
